Now it’s less than 4 months before we welcome all to the wonderful Stratford upon Avon for this years CCCC meeting. To date 52 members and guests have sent in their registration forms and I’m aware a good number have booked the hotel yet not registered for the event. So a few reminders.
The numbers will be capped at 120 (total of members and guests) and whilst this number considerably exceeds numbers attending the last few events I’d suggest you don’t leave it to chance and send in your registration form and funds now.
The Crowne Plaza will release our special rate rooms on the 22nd March so again you’ll need to book fairly soon to guarantee a stay at the hotel.
The closing date for registering for the event is the 31st March as we will need to then start confirming with events organisers etc our final numbers.
Full details for registering, prices and programme were all contained in the November Quarterly Worme but are duplicated below.
We are very excited to invite you to Shakespeares birthplace to join us for the 2019 meeting. We are planning a few themed surprises for you and we are aiming to make this meeting a memorable one!
We are offering two types of registration: CCCC Member and Guest. Member registration includes all program activities and privileges. The Guest registration includes all programme activities and is for friends/spouses of CCCC members. Guests are not entitled to set up a sale table or put items up for auction, though they may buy at these events. They may not vote at the AGM.
Deadline for all registrations is 31st March 2019. However a word of warning – numbers for this event will be limited to a maximum of 120 attendees (total members and guests) so we recommend you register early.

The Hotel we have chosen is the Crown Plaza Stratford upon Avon. Website We have negotiated special prices for the nights of the 14th and 15th June. For single occupancy you will pay £115 per night to include breakfast, Double occupancy only increases the price to £125 per night.
It is your responsibility to book your accommodation directly with the Hotel (quoting CCCC), this will of course give you the flexibility to extend your stay albeit rates outside of our programme dates will be at the Hotels standard pricing. We strongly recommend booking early as it’s the Stratford upon Avon Regatta on the 15th June, so the town and Hotels will be busy. (We have blocked booked a good number of rooms but we are anticipating significant interest in this event)
Contact details for the hotel are as follows
0044 1789 279900 quoting Canadian Corkscrew Collectors Club ( CCCC) or email email@example.com
Please note!!! We have been informed that the Crowne Plaza is fully booked on the 13th June so cannot accommodate early arrivals. Here are some links for some other nearby Hotels for early arrivals.
This is a useful link which will start to inform the reader of their options
Unless you plan to fly into the UK via Birmingham International Airport it’s probably best to consider either car hire or if you’re coming in a group booking a taxi or minibus.
We understand thee will be a group flying in from the ICCA meeting maybe Oslo to London Stansted. As a guide an 8-seater minibus is available to get you to Stansted for approx. £200.
For those flying into London Heathrow similar transport is available for approx. £150.
Again, we’ve attached a link that could better inform you of your choices.
